Checkin in!

Hey Guys,

What's up? I figured I would write to keep you all in the loop with what's been going on with me.

It's been one non-stop summer for me. I have had some amazing experiences. I am proud to say that I have officially graduated university and also moved out of my parents house.

This summer I had the opportunity to perform in Dundas Ontario for the Dundas Buskers Festival with my crew Illmatic Styles. I got to tour and perform around Moncton, New Brunswick for the Atlantic Dance Festival. I met many people with Arthrogryposis (My Condition) at the Arthrogryposis Convention in Philidelphia. I saw one of my best friends get married in Bordeaux, France. I actually went on vacation for myself with my girlfriend Melissa and we went to Barcelona had an amazing time finally get to go to a location and do the tourist thing. Then immediately after Barcelona I met my crew ILLMASK (combination of Illmatic Styles and Red Mask) in Halifax, NS where we performed for the Halifax International Busker Festival for a 3rd year in a row. It was an amazing trip and definitely strengthened to bond in our crew. I also beat my personal record on that trip and walked about a half kilometer without my leg braces or crutches. It was an amazing accomplishment but unfortunately upon my return from Halifax I fell ill and caught a virus, was dehydrated, and exhausted at the same time. I had to go to the Hospital 3 times in one week to find out what was really wrong with me. I have been taking this time to rest and catch up on much needed sleep :) I am starting to feel a lot better and slowly regaining my strength. This experience has taught me to take it easy and not over do it. I look at it as an awakining and will take advantage to get back into shape asap. I am still on the road to full recovery and will know it will take me some time before I am back 100% but do not worry because I will be stronger than ever when I am back.

Unfortunately I had to post-pone the ILL-Abilities "NO Limits 2" event that was originally planned on Sept. 19, 2009 at the Pepsi Forum. I decided for my health and the quality of the event to push the date back a couple of months. As soon as a new date is confirmed I will let you know about it.

I plan on posting some pictures from my record breaking walk and some from this summer soon.

Until next time.

Peace!

Luca "Lazylegz" Patuelli
